The Business Development Executive – Railway Sector is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s presence across Indian Railways, Metro Rail systems, infrastructure companies, and allied industries.

Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Opportunity Identification
- Analyze railway sector trends, upcoming projects, and tender opportunities
- Identify potential clients such as Indian Railways, Metro Rail Corporations, EPC contractors, and OEMs
- Track government policies, emerging technologies, and competitor activities
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement teams, project managers, and decision-makers
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product or solution demonstrations
- Understand customer requirements and propose tailored railway solutions in coordination with sales teams
Tendering & Proposal Development
- Monitor tenders, RFQs, and RFPs issued by railway authorities and metro corporations
- Coordinate with technical and commercial teams to prepare competitive bids
- Ensure compliance with railway procurement standards and documentation requirements
Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
- Collaborate with OEMs, technology providers, and contractors for joint ventures and partnerships
- Develop channel networks for railway equipment and service offerings
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Develop sales plans, forecasts, and targets for the railway business vertical
- Lead negotiations, close deals, and ensure revenue realization
- Track sales performance and maintain accurate CRM records
Required Technical Skills
- Understanding of railway operations, signaling, rolling stock, track, electrification, and infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of government procurement processes such as GeM and e-tendering portals
- Strong proposal writing and tender management skills
- Experience with Indian Railways approval processes including RDSO, vendor registration, trials, and type tests
