Fiber sensors refer to those photoelectric sensors that use optical fiber for the detector, and one of their primary benefits is that they offer a wide variety of detectors (that is, fiber units) for use in different applications. Fiber sensors have proven themselves in a variety of applications where the use of traditional photoelectric sensors was impossible or difficult, including flexible fiber that can be installed on moving parts, such as those of robotic arms; heat- and cold-resistant fiber that can be used in high- or low-temperature environments; and super-fine fiber that can be installed in even the tiniest spaces.
